"A"- Agua

One day we went to the water park or Agua Park. Crewe was mostly talk and no action once we got there. Baby Dayne cried for the big slides but she was not big enough. Then notice, how Rich had to go with her down the kiddie slides. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the slides. Well, the slowest slide. And technically, when I thought death was near, I screamed out a profanity in the all dark slide. Whatever....

"T"- Tiger

Could the "T" be anything else but Tiger? Ah, my dad. He is great. He played well with the kids. He played game after game with the kids. He cooked cookies for us. (We forgot to make popcorn. boo). Crewe and my dad went to a baseball game. They also played ball and soccer in the backyard. Thanks pop. We love you.

"N"- Not going to Slide

We had a variety of water activities. One slip and slide. One blow up slide. Dayne would do neither. She likes water but was having none of the slides in the back yard.

"O"- Old People.

We affectionately call my grandparents the Old People when we refer to them in conversations. Not their face, ok, sometimes to their faces.  The Old People went out to eat with us many times. And always, came down to the house for games. My grandma and I were partners for many games. We were terrible. I don't think we won a single game. Although I still love Cross Crib.

For the past 18 years they have lived up the street from my parents house. While we were in Montana we had the chance to help them move. My grandmother gave me a quilt of hers that her Grandmother made her in 1927 before she left Texas to live with her new family. (I will post more on the quilt later). We also received a serving dish and my grandparents china. Which I love!

Our last day there my Grandpa checked into the hospital for a quadruple-pass heart operation. As I hugged my Grandpa as I left I was overwhelmed at the chance I had to be in Montana for the past 2 weeks. To spend time with the Old People. Play Loaded Questions with my Grandpa(who is AWFUL at the game). Play Marbles with my Grandpa (who is pretty good). Go out to eat with him. Serve him. Love him.  I love you Old People.

Montana

This week of blogging will be all about Montana. We will start with "M". It has got to stand for my mom. She makes our trip amazing, wonderful and sane all at the same time. I asked the kids a few things about my mom. Crewe  Dayne

What is your favorite thing Grandma does for you ?   Reading stories to me.  Made me a purse.

Where your favorite place you went with Grandma? The sprinkler park. Chuck E Cheese

Why are you crying? Because I miss her!

I have tried a couple of times to post while we have been gone and have had no luck. The kids and I are flying back to Ca this afternoon. We have had such a good time in Montana. We have LOVED being here. I truly feel like Heavenly Father has had a hand in this trip and my heart has been full of gratitude. Be prepared for a travel log-blog when we get back.

Going On

*This is what we have been doing with our free time.*

The Past Two Weeks

Crewe went to Tadpole Camp.

Rich and I went to Las Vegas for the 4th of July.

I saw Jersey Boys, The Lion King and Love in Vegas.

We have gone swimming and ordered pizza to the pool. Very cool.

Crewe went to Circus Camp. No he can't balance a ladder on his nose.

Spent time with great friends. Played games.

Moved Dayne to a bed. Moved Dayne back to her crib.

Read books, ran the sprinklers and gone out to eat.

The kids and I are leaving for MT for the next couple of weeks. So today I am going to church, starting laundry, packing, making pork chops for dinner, eating cookies, finishing up a dumb book, playing on the computer and so far all I have done is snuggle with my kids in bed.....

Good Things V

Home made ice cream is an amazing Good Thing. We received an ice cream maker for our anniversary. It has been so much fun finding new recipes. So far we have only made vanilla, vanilla with eggs ( a little more custard in taste) and strawberry. We inspired our friends to break out their maker and we have also have vanilla and chocolate at their home.  Nat sent me a recipe for Nutella Ice Cream which will make an appearance soon. And then disappear even sooner.

Good Things IV

We had a small'ish pizza party for Crewe and his buddies from school. We had 3 boys and 3 girls over for pizza, swings, bubbles, and popcicles.  I tried to get the kids involved in a Simon Says game, they denied me. I did get a game of pin-the-toppings on the pizza. When it was time to sit down and eat I was trying to make sure all the kids were settled and happy. I said to one of the little boys, "Why is no one eating? Can I get anyone anything? He turned to me and replied, "Just a mintue we are busy talking. Catching up. "

Good Things III

My parents phone calls - A very Good Thing. My dad calls a couple of times a month and asks us what we are doing for dinner. "Nothing". "Do you want to go with us?" is his reply. But we live here and they live in MT so they just send us the money to pay for our dinner out. We never get to go out eat and this unexpected treat is such a delight. I am grateful for my parents kindness. It just really shows that they like us. Plus  they are thinking of us and want us to have a night off from the kitchen. Thanks Mom and Dad for a Very Good Thing.

*My kids at Fuddruckers 2 weeks ago. We bought them sliders. Who knew you could get such small burgers at Fuddruckers?

Good Things

A week of Good Things.

Baby Dayne is a very good thing. She says funny things like, SuperAwesomeCool. She is constantly asking if you like the same things she likes. "You like ice cream? I like it. You like crackers? You like swimming? " Last night she was throwing a HUGE fit getting ready for bed. She didn't want her diaper changed, her jammies on, ect... Then all of sudden she stopped, looked at me and said, "Whoa. I was really out of control."

Cookies please?

I have been having a rough week. I have been feeling sorry for myself and kind of depressed. I am an emotional eater. I knew that if I made cookies I would eat WAY to many. So I took my kids to the store and let them pick out a treat. They choose Toll House cookie dough. That way we get hot cookies after lunch for multiple days. This morning I just read that there is a RECALL on all Toll House cookie dough. It has been infected with E-coli. WHAT? What's a girl to do?

perm

I am back to the "the PERM" talk. I want my hair to look like it does in this picture. Kind of curly but still long and beach'ish. I also would mind have big  curly hair. Like I saw everywhere in Greece--I am sure that I blogged about it awhile ago. I have a ton of random pictures that I took of my hair. What's a girl to do?
