Girls Weekend
I have been trying to write a post about the amazing girls weekend that I had last week. THE PICTURES WON'T POST!!!!! It is so annoying! ( i think i got a few to work)
We had a wonderful time. Here are a few highlights.
Natalie flew in tuesday morning a little bit late but it worked out for the better. We came home to my house and played baby clothes. I had a shower on saturday and I wanted to share all the new goodies. Plus the new bedding for the babies crib arrived in the mail the day before so there was alot to play show and tell. Rich and Crewe took us into the city later in the afternoon, where we stayed at a great hotel right, located on Union Square. We started out the "offical" part of the trip with SHOPPING!! We spent an hour in the Macy's shoe department. You can't go wrong with shoe shopping. Topped off the evening with dinner at Cheesecake Factory.
Wednesday morning started out at the Nail Salon. We all got Chocolate pedicures and manicures. HEAVEN!!! It was so perfect. At 8 months pregnant nothing feels as good as having someone rub my legs, my feet and make my feet pretty. Eating lunch at Housten's, YUM, followed by more shopping. That evening we went to the play, "Beach Blanket Babylon." Very good.
Thursday morning was a short day of shopping, eating and taking Nat to the airport. It was such a wonderful fun weekend. Thanks Mom! We missed our other sister-in-law, Natali, who decided not to come this year. We spoke of her throughout the weekend and finally asked a random woman to step in her spot. Not really, but we have recieved applications from others who want to join the family.
It was a great weekend. A great way to finish up the last part of this long hard pregnancy. Thanks mom and Nat for coming and playing with me.

I have not forgot to post. I am just busy. My parents have been in town. It was so much fun to have them both here. My dad left on sunday and the Jody is still here. We are picking Natalie up to today for a little girls weekend. So more fun to come. I also had a wonderful baby shower on Saturday and another shower the next friday. Yeah.

The couch
When we got married (almost 7 years ago) the first thing we bought (actually before we were married) was our beloved green couch. It was choosen with much care and MUCH conversation. Rich wasn't sure he wanted color in our house and I couldn't imgane living without it. It has been a good couch to us. We have sat on everyday of married life. When Crewe was a newborn I slept many nights on the couch holding the tiny bundle. My mom sleeps on the couch as a makeshift bed when she visits. It has been good to us. About 4 months ago the couch DIED!!!! It went from looking a "little worn" to looking "a little white trash".
The couch frame broke and then the fabric tore. It was all very sad. Then we bought a new couch a little over 6 weeks ago. It finally came today. (and now for some reason I can't attach the new pics...will work on later). So my pregnancy hormones are kicking in and I am finding myself very happy for the new couch. AND very sad to say goodbye to the green couch. I won't let Rich move the green couch out tonight. Not yet, not time for goodbye.

Fires out
A couple of months ago I slept on my shoulder in a crazy way. My shoulder blades were killing me!!! So finally I cornered my husband and said, "Will you please rub my shoulder blade. It feels like it is on FIRE!"
Crewe came flying up onto our bed, "Dad, hurry! Mom has the fires!!! I help rub them out!"
Now, last night I had tricked Rich into rubbing sleeping balm into my scalp. I was laying on the couch in total bliss when my assistant, Crewe, jumped up again, "You have the fires again, on your head. I help get them out!"

no more
Last night we went to look at Christmas lights. There is a crazy house in livermore. You get out of your house and wander through thier front yard. It has millions of lights covering every inch. I took amazing pictures of the evening.
Then we went by another house that was all decked out in lights. When all of the sudden SANTA caming wandering out of the garage. He came up to our car. Crewe exclaimed, "Hi, Santa!!!". Santa gave him a candy cane and then asked what he wanted for Christmas. Crewe then listed off his selection of cars that he wants, said thanks for the candy and we drove on. ( A drive in/by Santa, who knew?) I was so proud of Crewe for being so brave. He wasn't afraid. He was amazing.
We arrived home and I was starting to work on my post with great pics and MY CAMERA BROKE!!!! MY 2.2 MEGA-PIXAL CAMERA FINALLY BROKE!! SO SAD. (and we already spent our Christmas money on a new couch) SO NO NEW PICTURES FOR AWHILE!!!!! The story isn't so great without the pictures. So sad.

Shoes
Crewe's shoes are TOO small, again. We tried to find the same shoes because he LOVES his puma shoes. But no luck. So my dad bought him these great Nike shoes. HE WILL NOT WEAR THEM!!! Today I squeezed his feet into his Puma's and with each step he would say, "ow, Ouch!!!!".
"Your shoes are too small."
"No they are too big!"
"Do you want to wear these (bring the cute Nike's over) shoes. They won't hurt your feet."
"No, they're too white!"
"What the.......?!*# Too white? What does that mean?"

Happy Feet
I woke up this morning feeling really crappy. I may have the flu on top of the pregnancy sickness but maybe not. I was super sick last night so maybe it was more like a hangover. Anyway, I decided that Crewe and I had to leave the house today. My mental health depended on it. So we went to the movie, "happy feet." We saw it in IMAX. My ticket was alot of money but Crewe was free so it worked. It is a really cute movie with good music. A couple of scary chase scenes with a seal and two killer whales. Crewe sat on my lap the whole time and take my hand and cover his eyes when he was scared. Kind of wierd ending but we were having such a good time, it was okay. I love having a date with my son. I am feeling better because I enjoyed myself so much. Go figure!

the zoo

We spent yesterday morning at the zoo. It was such a lovley day. Crewe had a great time and we enjoyed the warm weather. We finished visiting the animals with a couple of rides at the zoo park. Crewe is getting so big and brave. He used to make us hold his hands on the rides or would shake on the merry-go-round. Now he jumps on aboard and doesn't look back. He is not related to me, the chicken mother.
