Today was our playgroups annual ice cream social/swim party. It was too hot to take Dayne so Crewe and I took off with a quest to spend as much time in the pool as possible. We both swam for two hours and had a great time. We came home to find a major siesta going on so WE WENT BACK. This time I didn't want to get in the pool so I let Crewe get into the pool and play/swim around on the steps. I was sitting on the side of the pool when I saw it....Crewe started to drown. It was awful!!! He was just stuck, standing in too deep water gulping air. My friend and I both tried to grab him but no luck. So we both jumped in....in ALL our clothes. Crewe was fine, a little scared but okay. I was shook up but okay. I was however wearing a white shirt. A semi-whore shirt, now was becoming a wet t-shirt contest. Oh, did I mention the capris and shoes that I also had on. I am a bad mom who let her kid in the pool by himself and the world (and all my non-lds friends) could see my personals.
My Crewe Dawg is good. Fine. Wonderful. He is getting ready for bed and after swim lessons this morning and then the swim party for 4 hours, he should sleep hard. I however, am having a harder time. I am bad mom with a see-through shirt.

NERD alert
I am a book nerd. HUGE nerd. However, I have never read a Harry Potter book. I have seen the movies. I even have a signed (by the illustrator) copy of the first book. And yet, I have never cracked open the wizard books. Why?
Who knows?
I don't enjoy books that have a lot of hype and then when I read them my expectations are SO HIGH that the book falls FLAT!!! This has happened with Divinci Code, The Road (sucked really bad) and a few others.
So, tomorrow book nerds all over will be uniting to get the next The magical HP (is that correct slang?) book.
However, I will not be one of them.

tan today, gone tommrow

I'm not sure if you can tell....but I am CRAZY tan.
Have I spent hours and hours in the sun? No.
Have I spent hours ruining my skin worshipping the sun? No.
Here here the story of the tan of Ashley. It started on a Friday whilst I was wearing DARK chocolate brown shorts. The whiteness of my legs next to this color was AWFUL. Rich and I were at a light in Billings and I saw the way to happiness. "Spray tan of America". Now, I have used tan-less lotion before (I'm quite good at applying and I know the good brands) and I have even done the spray booth before *much like Ross on Friends*. So I walked in and said sign me me up for a gold look. She said okay this way. I went into an empty room...
Wait, where is the booth? Where does the spray shoot from? Where do I stand for 10 SECONDS turn and wait for another 10 SECONDS????
Then the girls follows me into the room. "okay, get undressed. I will be back to start spraying you."
What the $@#%^?!!!!!!
So a woman in Montana has seen me in all my glory. Jokes on her....Who wants to see a fat WHITE girl transform to tan goddess???
Me, that's who.

Thanks
Dear Grandma,
I miss you. I keep telling my mom and dad that I want to move our house back to "tana". When will you come to see me again?
I also want to say Thank you. Thanks for teaching me new words like "buns" and "naked like a jay bird." All day I discussed my rear side and refused to wear clothes after lunch. I also LOVE that you taught me about poop. It really is great to know about dog poop, people poop (how to pull Tiger's finger) and that my toys poop. Thanks for also teaching me that dinosaurs died because they smoked cigarettes. I will never smoke cigarettes but what do you think about weed?
I miss that I had NO BEDTIME in "tana" and I cried tonight when mommy brushed my teeth. You are WAY better at brushing my teeth.
I am sure that Dayne misses you too.
Lots of love and licks,
Crewe Palmer

cousins

We have had lots of fun with the Palmer cousins the last month. Rich's dad retired from his job of 33 years and we have been partying and partying. No Twister, though.
So now the kids and I are off to MT for a little vacation. I am wishing that my brother and his wife would get to be there with their 4 little boys. I will get to Ethan's kids so I AM EXCITED!!! I will be gone until the 15th so I am not sure if I will be blogging while away.
Happy 4th of July!

What are you gonna do?
Yesterday, Crewe was walking that fine line. You know, that LINE. The line makes you want to set them on the street corner with a "FREE" sign. In my neighborhood, my green couch went in under 1 hour. How fast do you think Crewe would be snatched up?
He was grumpy and emotional. He would be playing so happily along and THEN BOOM. Melt down. THEN this happened.
Scene: I was in the living room feeding Dayne a bottle. Crewe was carrying on and crying and threw a book at me. (Later according to him, he did not throw the book, he slid the book).
"Go to your room and calm down."
"N0".
"If you are not in your room by the time I am done feeding Dayne, I will put you in time out and then you will go to your room".
"No!!!! "
I hear him in the kitchen moving around. It is really quite. "What are you doing?"
"I'm in TIME OUT"
2 Minutes Later......

Happy Birthday Blog
One Year Ago!
One Year ago I started my blog. I am not sure how I decided to make a blog but I have LOVED having a blog. I have loved my family members and friends who have blogs. I love reading my comments and commenting on others. My blog is way for me to record the events of the past year. Here are a few, in no order. Thanks for making this blog great. PS I am pregnant in most of these pics. but then again, pregnancy was most of last year.

We have got to play with the Palmer cousins. Alot. We also miss Aunt Julie. Alot.
Crewe is growing up so fast. He is a great funny little boy.
My parents came to visit in Jan. My dad had not been here since 2005 so it was really fun.

My sisters-in-laws and I have gone out to dinner once a month for this past year. It has been a great way to get to know one another. AJ also comes along and pays so even better.
I got another AMAZING girls weekend in with Nat and my mom. SO MUCH FUN!!!
One year ago today we did IUI and started to truly hope that we would have another baby. Baby Dayne was born 39 weeks later. The last year was filled alot of Pregnancy issues. To say the least--but the last 3 months have so WONDERFUL. Yay for the blog.

Swim day
Yesterday was a good day. It was SO !*#$ HOT! Crewe first got ready for the day. Did he have enough layers on?
In the afternoon Crewe had his first swim lessons. He has on the blue and orange shirt. It was so much fun. Rich and I felt very grown up. Watching "our kid" in swim lessons. We are getting old. We will be back today for more lessons.
