Favorite Game Show

#11 Favorite Game Show- Don't Forget the Lyrics!

I love this show and I am pretty good at it. I always get out my air guitar and my singing voice and rock out to the whole show.  Plus I always learn new things. 1. I don't know any Elton John songs. At all.  2. I totally rock on the $300,000 song.  3. I have been singing A LOT of songs wrong. Totally wrong. Who knew the correct words to Starship's, We Built This City? I thought I knew the words but I SO don't. Say you don't me, a corporate rat race...... (wrong)

I am the worst at song lyrics. Blondie's Call Me I always thought was Why Me. I saw a comedian do a bit on this. He was singing Big Old Jet Airliner (Steve Miller Band) as Big Old Jet had a Light On. Pretty funny.

So when I was in like 4th or 5th grade the song Chasing Waterfalls by (i think) Salt n Peppa (sp?). Anyways...I thought the lyrics were "Go Go Jason Waterfalls" like the name of some guy. Then the summer after 10th grade, we were listening to it again and I was like...oh that's what the words are. And my friends totally made fun of me even though it had been 5 years since i had heard the song.

And you know what else is really funny. I will have known the words to a song for years, YEARS! and I have just recently caught on to some sexual references that are in these songs. I feel like I'm such a nerd sometimes.

Rupert Somebody sings a song Do you like Pina coladas? gettin caught in the rain. I sang Do you like cheese enchiladas? gettin caught in the rain.... For years. Also Norah Jones "dont know why I didn't come". I told Ash this song was filthy. Turned out it was just me.

Wow, i happened accross a sight dedicated to misheard lyrics. www.amiright.com -- apparantly there are many folk out there who are singing their own tune.

hahah, I think Wayne Brady is pretty funny in that show. I would never have the guts to do that on TV but at home, it's a-ok.
