cousins

We have had lots of fun with the Palmer cousins the last month. Rich's dad retired from his job of 33 years and we have been partying and partying. No Twister, though.

So now the kids and I are off to MT for a little vacation. I am wishing that my brother and his wife would get to be there with their 4 little boys. I will get to Ethan's kids so I AM EXCITED!!! I will be gone until the 15th so I am not sure if I will be blogging while away.

Happy 4th of July!

What are you gonna do?

Yesterday, Crewe was walking that fine line. You know, that LINE. The line makes you want to set them on the street corner with a "FREE" sign. In my neighborhood, my green couch went in under 1 hour. How fast do you think Crewe would be snatched up?

He was grumpy and emotional. He would be playing so happily along and THEN BOOM. Melt down. THEN this happened.

Scene: I was in the living room feeding Dayne a bottle. Crewe was carrying on and crying and threw a book at me. (Later according to him, he did not throw the book, he slid the book).

"Go to your room and calm down."

"N0".

"If you are not in your room by the time I am done feeding Dayne, I will put you in time out and then you will go to your room".

"No!!!! "

I hear him in the kitchen moving around. It is really quite. "What are you doing?"

"I'm in TIME OUT"

2 Minutes Later......
Asleep. Yes, he is asleep in the time out corner. I laughed and then became grateful that he was asleep so I didn't have to deal with him anymore.

ode to the BUMBO

The BUMBO, how I love thee,
your round and strong
and it didn't take long,
for baby Dayne to notice me.

All while sitting in the BUMBO!

Happy Birthday Blog

One Year Ago!
One Year ago I started my blog. I am not sure how I decided to make a blog but I have LOVED having a blog. I have loved my family members and friends who have blogs. I love reading my comments and commenting on others. My blog is way for me to record the events of the past year. Here are a few, in no order. Thanks for making this blog great. PS I am pregnant in most of these pics. but then again, pregnancy was most of last year.

We have got to play with the Palmer cousins. Alot. We also miss Aunt Julie. Alot.
Crewe is growing up so fast. He is a great funny little boy.

My parents came to visit in Jan. My dad had not been here since 2005 so it was really fun.

I turned 30!

My sisters-in-laws and I have gone out to dinner once a month for this past year. It has been a great way to get to know one another. AJ also comes along and pays so even better.
I got another AMAZING girls weekend in with Nat and my mom. SO MUCH FUN!!!
We went to MT for Christmas. So cold but always wonderful.

My mom came to CA a handful of times. Each time I have LOVED her visiting and so has Crewe.

We spent much of last summer and this so far this summer at the delta.

One year ago today we did IUI and started to truly hope that we would have another baby. Baby Dayne was born 39 weeks later. The last year was filled alot of Pregnancy issues. To say the least--but the last 3 months have so WONDERFUL. Yay for the blog.

Swim day

Yesterday was a good day. It was SO !*#$ HOT! Crewe first got ready for the day. Did he have enough layers on?

In the afternoon Crewe had his first swim lessons. He has on the blue and orange shirt. It was so much fun. Rich and I felt very grown up. Watching "our kid" in swim lessons. We are getting old. We will be back today for more lessons.
Sister at the pool. She was buring up and soon we had her stripped down. Today I think she will stay home.

Happy Father's Day

How do I know my kids have an AMAZING dad? Here's how:
1. I jumped up to feed Dayne the other night. Rich stopped me and said, " I already fed her. She is going to sleep. Go back to bed."

2. He wore out his zoo pass taking crewe to the zoo.

3. he cleans the dishes every night. Remember we don't have a dishwasher.

4. He knows all the words to "dora" and "little Einsteins".

5. He went up with Crewe today to do the scripture and prayer in primary. He was very proud of Crewe.

6. I have caught Rich crying just looking at baby dayne. He is in love! I have also caught him shedding a tear or two over Crewe.

Happy Fathers Day! You are the best.

Trip to the City

Crewe watches a episode of Little Einsteins EVERYDAY that takes place in SF. They ventures through the city and try to find a helicopter. So today we decided to take Crewe to the same spots the rocket ship goes.
Coit Tower
Golden Gate Bridge
Cute boys under the bridge.

Baby Dayne slept the whole time we were gone. It also turned out to be dang cold. So I stayed in the car with Dayne.
A self shot of me while we waited in the car. Can you tell that I have not been sleeping?

Happy Father's Day, Pop!

My dad is great. He is amazing and better than your dad.

I have been having issues sleeping this week so in the wee hours of the morning I have been composing this post. I figured my gift (while purchased and in my car) may not make it to MT in time so this post will be a little early.

Things I have learned from my Dad:

1. When ordering a blizzard from "DQ" always get a butterfinger blizzard with extra fingers.

2. Breakfast menus. When I had sleepovers as a child he would make us menus that listed all of our choices for breakfast. You would then check the boxes next to your choice. "I will have a maple bar with a side of juice, Please".

3. When reading late into the night always wear fancy headphones so you can sing loudly without anyone having to hear the music.

4. How to wash a car.

5. Always be generous. Always.

6. "If you need more food, we can always order more."

7. It is TOTALLY normal to sleep with a fire extinguisher.

8. It wouldn't be a car ride if there wasn't music playing.

9. Hard work will get your everywhere. Hopefully on more vacations.

10. When cheating during a game, it always more fun to get caught. And that also means that it time to pay more attention to the Dad.

I love you Dad! Happy Father's Day!

Stickies

How to make Stickies (aka Rice Crispies treats) by Crewe Palmer.
First: You ask your mom to make them over and over. She agrees when you wake up from your nap. I didn't nap but hung out on the bed for long enough.

Second: Poor marsh-allows (no m) with butter in a bowl. I don't like butter but I am willing to bend my rules. Throw the bowl in the microwave.

Third: Quietly say a prayer for "Krackle, Snap, Pop".

Fourth: Thank your assistant.
Fifth: Poor in the cereal.

Sixth: Begin to eat!!!!
