It's 3AM

These are the eyes of a tired mom. This baby cries more than I can handle. At times. She is so dang wonderful but why does she cry in the MIDDLE of the night????



Now at 8pm at night she is asleep. Who knows what she will want to do tonight?

the Zoo

Rich took Crewe to the zoo on Saturday. He went with his brother and his kids. Rich said that he took a few pictures of the kids on the rides. When I downloaded the pics, this is what we got.

2 weeks here on earth

Today baby dayne went to the doctor for her 2 week check up. She is doing great. She weighed in at 7lbs 14ozs. EXCELLENT!!! (As a side note*I also LOVE her wearing bows and the pale pink outfit. It is a Tommy Hilfiger. Thanks Addison for the hand-me-down.) Crewe also came with us to the doctors (I had this need to have Rich there, in case....so we all went). We had to wait FOREVER. The following also occured.

Us: "That is where the doctor sits."

Crewe jumps in the chair. "Call me Doctor Crewe."

My MOM, my FRIEND

If you don't know my mom then you are really missing out. She is amazing and wonderful and kind and thoughtful. She has been here taking care of me and my KIDS (ah, I have kids now). She did the night duty with Dayne and played cars with Crewe all day. Here is a list of things about the amazing Jody.

The Brother

Crewe is LOVING being the big brother. He has been so sweet and so good. I am truly grateful for a wonderful boy to love Dayne. We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

Baby Baby

Our baby made her entrance a little bit early. We are so excitied for her to be here!!!! "Yeah

39 Weeks

Koala bears are pregnant for 35 days. Then they carry the baby in a pouch for 5-7 months. Elephants carry thier babies for 22 months. I have been doing this for 10. What am I complaining about?

Still Pregnant

I was planning on taking a few pictures this weekend so I could work on a new post. I carried my camera every where with us but no luck. We just are not busy exciting people, right now.

I am still PREGNANT!!!! I think I am okay with it but am getting very uncomfortable. I am sleeping in our yellow chair. I have heart burn after (hours later) I drink water or eat dinner (no matter what I eat). I also am short on energy. It is beautiful weather here today ( over 70) so i was planning on taking Crewe to the park. I showered and promtly lost all my spark. My sister-in-law must have known and called wanted Crewe to come over and play. A drop off date!!! THANK GOODNESS. I did end up going to Target for almost 1 1/2 hours. Did I mention that I move slowly?

The Balloons

Last Saturday night I had a small birthday party for me. Notice all the great purple balloons. The filled the ceiling and the night with delight. I LOVE BALLOONS and was so happy to have them here. HOWEVER, they ayre still here!!!! They won't die. They float and follow you around the house. We have taken balloons to our friends, we have encouraged Crewe to release them into the sky BUT they are still here. I still love balloons but my affair with them is over. Time for them to go!!!!

Nap Time

Yesterday I turned 30! It was a very nice day . I am truly blessed to have Rich and Crewe in my life.

I am also grateful for many other people. I have even had complaints that some people got left off the list. So those that complained will now get their props:

The Dad- I love my dad. He is funny and kind and so thoughtful. He is my example of how to think of others at all times. He also is trying to name my baby. Creuella is his choice.

The Mom- I love my mom. She was in CA for over a week and we were not apart for any of that time. We never ran out of things to say to one another. She is so amazing and can do so MANY things in one day. She is what we call a dry cocaine addict. And she has no hair on her arms.

Grandma Schofield- Her name is Juanita. What more can you can about a white woman named Juanita. I love her, even though she is luke warm on me.

Brother Ethan- I do love him too. He is funny and smart. He is the best dad with great kids and a sensational wife. I wish I lived closer to him because he is a kick ass "Taboo" partner.

I also love my brother Aaron and his wife but they did not issue formal complaints.

here's the thing

Here's the thing. Rich asked me why I have not blogged and I said I didn't have anything going on right now. He disagreed. He thought I have LOTS going on. Mostly by LOTS he means I have been complaining LOTS and LOTS!!!! Here a few highlights from the sucky days of Ashley.

1. I am sick. Crewe has had this cough and although I tired to avoid, I got his sickness. It is the worse cold/minor flu.

2. I have pregnancy sickness this week, BAD. I have been the puking queen. EVERYDAY!!!!

3. I am 8 months pregnant. Enough said!



THINGS I AM THANKFUL FOR!!!!

1. Rich. He is the most amazing man. He was disbatched to the store this morning for softer kleenex. Not only did he go without complaint, he brought me 2 different kinds of Kleenex to help my weary nose.

2. Crewe. He is the sweetest boy. He is so content to hang out the play while I have been sick. When I go into the bathroom to be sick he follows me to check, "if I am okay." He asked me the other day how I was feeling. I said not good. He replied, "yeah I have headache too!"

3. Baby girl Palmer. Even though I don't have a name!!!! I am grateful that Heavenly Father is giving me a chance to have another baby.

4. Brownies. After laying on the couch this morning and watching Food Network....I think it is time to make brownines. They have gotta help, right?

Girls Weekend

I have been trying to write a post about the amazing girls weekend that I had last week. THE PICTURES WON'T POST!!!!! It is so annoying! ( i think i got a few to work)
We had a wonderful time. Here are a few highlights.
Natalie flew in tuesday morning a little bit late but it worked out for the better. We came home to my house and played baby clothes. I had a shower on saturday and I wanted to share all the new goodies. Plus the new bedding for the babies crib arrived in the mail the day before so there was alot to play show and tell. Rich and Crewe took us into the city later in the afternoon, where we stayed at a great hotel right, located on Union Square. We started out the "offical" part of the trip with SHOPPING!! We spent an hour in the Macy's shoe department. You can't go wrong with shoe shopping. Topped off the evening with dinner at Cheesecake Factory.
Wednesday morning started out at the Nail Salon. We all got Chocolate pedicures and manicures. HEAVEN!!! It was so perfect. At 8 months pregnant nothing feels as good as having someone rub my legs, my feet and make my feet pretty. Eating lunch at Housten's, YUM, followed by more shopping. That evening we went to the play, "Beach Blanket Babylon." Very good.

Thursday morning was a short day of shopping, eating and taking Nat to the airport. It was such a wonderful fun weekend. Thanks Mom! We missed our other sister-in-law, Natali, who decided not to come this year. We spoke of her throughout the weekend and finally asked a random woman to step in her spot. Not really, but we have recieved applications from others who want to join the family.
It was a great weekend. A great way to finish up the last part of this long hard pregnancy. Thanks mom and Nat for coming and playing with me.

just busy

I have not forgot to post. I am just busy. My parents have been in town. It was so much fun to have them both here. My dad left on sunday and the Jody is still here. We are picking Natalie up to today for a little girls weekend. So more fun to come. I also had a wonderful baby shower on Saturday and another shower the next friday. Yeah.

The couch

When we got married (almost 7 years ago) the first thing we bought (actually before we were married) was our beloved green couch. It was choosen with much care and MUCH conversation. Rich wasn't sure he wanted color in our house and I couldn't imgane living without it. It has been a good couch to us. We have sat on everyday of married life. When Crewe was a newborn I slept many nights on the couch holding the tiny bundle. My mom sleeps on the couch as a makeshift bed when she visits. It has been good to us. About 4 months ago the couch DIED!!!! It went from looking a "little worn" to looking "a little white trash".

The couch frame broke and then the fabric tore. It was all very sad.Then we bought a new couch a little over 6 weeks ago. It finally came today. (and now for some reason I can't attach the new pics...will work on later). So my pregnancy hormones are kicking in and I am finding myself very happy for the new couch. AND very sad to say goodbye to the green couch. I won't let Rich move the green couch out tonight. Not yet, not time for goodbye.

Crewe skipped his nap and was moving along with his night. Then he crawled up onto Rich's lap. 30 SECONDS LATER...... a 5pm nap was taking place.

I have been trying to post pictures with a post for 2 days. No luck!!! I am not happy!

Fires out

A couple of months ago I slept on my shoulder in a crazy way. My shoulder blades were killing me!!! So finally I cornered my husband and said, "Will you please rub my shoulder blade. It feels like it is on FIRE!"

Crewe came flying up onto our bed, "Dad, hurry! Mom has the fires!!! I help rub them out!"

Now, last night I had tricked Rich into rubbing sleeping balm into my scalp. I was laying on the couch in total bliss when my assistant, Crewe, jumped up again, "You have the fires again, on your head. I help get them out!"

not crazy

I am not crazy about the new blog look. I am just stuck between what I like and what i can choose. I will be working many different looks for awhile to see what works.
